What to put on your website: GDPR and terms
When you use Whisper on your store, you are the data controller for your customers' personal data. Whisper acts as a data processor — it processes data on your behalf and only for the purposes you define.
Your customers should know that you use Whisper. The most common approach is to add a section about personal data protection to your terms of service or privacy policy on your website.
Text for your terms or privacy policy#
Below is wording you can copy and paste into your terms of service or privacy policy. Before publishing, adjust it to match the style and structure of your website.
Cookies and your cookie banner#
On your store website, Whisper uses cookie-like storage only for what is necessary to provide customer support — for example, to run the chatbot and keep conversation context.
Whisper does not use these mechanisms for analytics, remarketing, or similar marketing purposes. For this reason, you do not need to add Whisper to your website's cookie banner.
