How to connect your Microsoft 365 or Outlook inbox to Whisper.

Connecting Outlook

If your customer support uses Microsoft 365, Outlook.com, Hotmail, or Live, you can easily connect it to Whisper to power your Email Support features.

Prerequisites#

  • A Microsoft account that receives your customer support emails.

Step-by-Step Instructions#

  1. Open Integrations settings

    Navigate to Settings > Integrations in the Whisper sidebar.

  2. Select Email

    Click Connect integration and select Email.

  3. Choose Outlook

    Choose the Outlook option and click Connect Outlook.

  4. Authorize the connection

    You will be redirected to Microsoft to authorize the connection. Log in to your support email account.

  5. Grant permissions

    Review the permissions requested by Whisper (reading and sending emails on your behalf) and click Allow.

  6. Complete the setup

    You will be redirected back to Whisper, and your Outlook account will be connected.

Troubleshooting#

  • Authorization issues: If you encounter issues during the Microsoft OAuth flow, ensure you are logged into the correct Microsoft account and that you have granted all requested permissions.
  • Account not found: If you see an error during login, contact your administrator to ensure third-party apps are not blocked in your Microsoft 365 organization.
