Browser Notifications
Configure browser push notifications to never miss a customer request.

To ensure you never miss a customer request, you can enable browser push notifications for Whisper. This is particularly useful for live chat conversations that require immediate human attention.
Enabling Notifications#
Navigate to Settings > Notifications
Navigate to Settings > Notifications in the sidebar.
Click Enable notifications
Click Enable notifications.
Your browser will show a prompt asking
Your browser will show a prompt asking for permission to show notifications. Click Allow.
Notifications enabled
Once enabled, the status will update to "Notifications are enabled in this browser."

Testing Notifications#
You can verify that notifications are working by clicking the Send test notification button. A test message will appear on your screen.
Troubleshooting#
- Notifications are blocked: If you previously denied the permission, you will need to open your browser settings (usually by clicking the lock icon next to the URL bar) and manually change the notification permission to "Allow".
- Unsupported browser: Some older browsers or specific privacy modes (like Incognito) do not support web push notifications.
- Permission timeout: If you ignore the browser prompt for too long, it may time out. Refresh the page and try again.
