Internal notes are a great way to communicate with your team, leave reminders, or provide context without sending anything to the customer.
How to Add an Internal Note#
Adding an internal note is quick and easy:
Open an email thread or a past chat
Open an email thread or a past chat conversation.
Click the + Add note button
Click the + Add note button.
Type your message and save it
Type your message and save it.

Note Visibility#
It's important to know how internal notes work and who can see them:
- Internal notes are visually distinct from regular messages so you can easily recognize them.
- They are visible only to logged-in operators in your Whisper workspace.
- They are never sent to the customer.
- Each note displays the author's name (e.g., your display name) so your team knows who left the comment.
