Internal notes are a great way to communicate with your team, leave reminders, or provide context without sending anything to the customer.

How to Add an Internal Note#

Adding an internal note is quick and easy:

  1. Open an email thread or a past chat

  2. Click the + Add note button

  3. Type your message and save it

Note Visibility#

It's important to know how internal notes work and who can see them:

  • Internal notes are visually distinct from regular messages so you can easily recognize them.
  • They are visible only to logged-in operators in your Whisper workspace.
  • They are never sent to the customer.
  • Each note displays the author's name (e.g., your display name) so your team knows who left the comment.
