Connecting Shopify

Connect your Shopify store to Whisper using a custom app to provide your AI assistant with your product catalog and order data.

Step-by-Step Instructions#

1. Open Integrations settings

   Navigate to Settings > Integrations in the Whisper sidebar.

2. Select Shopify

   Click Connect integration and select Shopify.

3. Enter your credentials

   You will need to provide:

   • Store name: Your Shopify store prefix (e.g., my-store).
   • Client ID: From your Shopify custom app.
   • Client Secret: From your Shopify custom app.

4. Test the connection

   Click Test connection to ensure the credentials are correct.

5. Save the integration

   Save the integration.

Creating a Shopify Custom App#

To get your Client ID and Client Secret, you need to create a custom app in your Shopify admin panel:

1. Log in to Shopify

   Log in to your Shopify Admin.

2. Open Apps settings

   Go to Settings > Apps and sales channels.

3. Create an app

   Click Develop apps and then Create an app.

4. Configure API scopes

   Configure the necessary API scopes (read access for products and orders, and write access for shipping addresses if you want Whisper to assist with updates).

5. Install the app

   Install the app to generate the API credentials.
